Have you ever traveled to a foreign country and felt lost and disoriented, or even to a region within the U.S. that you were unfamiliar with and felt uncomfortable? Your uneasiness most likely came from your lack of knowledge of the customs, culture, language, layout, and structure of those unfamiliar places.
When preparing to travel, planning is key. You can use reliable reference materials to learn the region’s history, retain a tour guide that can add context to the journey, pack maps to easily identify points of interest, and a compass to keep you on track. Without these things, getting lost is inevitable.
The same dilemma occurs to many who try to study the Bible alone. Without a plan, a guide, and resources to help you along the way, it’s easy to become frustrated, discouraged, and regress spiritually.
Help is available.
At the Good News Seminary and Bible College, one of this year’s offerings is a class on the survey of the Old and New Testaments. Many bible readers often fail to understand the interconnectedness of old and New Testament Scriptures, thus they lack the understanding of important doctrine that God has set before us. Each book, chapter, and verse in the Bible is connected and has a purpose.
We know there is some reluctance to attend a “Bible College”. But Jesus said in John 14:3, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you with me that you also may be where I am. Jesus has made preparations and we must do the same. Your bible tour guide is ready and waiting with material (including maps) to help gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Word of God.
One of the school’s theme is 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Join today and let’s take a journey through the wondrous Word inspired by God.
Contact the school administration for additional information. All are welcome.
God Bless!
