Foundations of Christian Education Certification

Purpose for a Certification Program at Good News Seminary, Inc.

The Certification Program at Good News Seminary, Inc. has been specifically designed to address the unique needs of individuals and church communities who may feel apprehensive about pursuing a traditional seminary education. The program’s primary purpose is to serve as an accessible gateway to theological education.

Structured Foundational Pathway:
  • Expand access to theological education by offering an approachable pathway for individuals who may feel apprehensive about pursuing traditional seminary coursework.
  • Empower individuals with academic confidence through structured, supportive learning that prepares them for potential future seminary enrollment.
  • Serve as an introduction to Good News Seminary, Inc., encouraging some participants to consider enrolling in full seminary programs.
  • Promote spiritually educated church membership, enhancing the vitality and longevity of churches through informed and equipped members.
  • Support churches by providing foundational Christian teachings that strengthen their ministry and mission.

 The structure of the certification consists of 12 modules, with 9 weeks of instruction in each module over a 24-month period. It will lead to a certification in “Foundations of Christian Education” from Good News Seminary, Inc. At the culmination, students who complete the program will participate in the commencement ceremony with the undergraduate and graduate classes from Good News Seminary, Inc.

An accrediting organization is a “watchman on the wall”. Webster defines accreditation as to give trust or confidence to; to vouch for; to recommend; to furnish with credentials, as an envoy or ambassador. Every accreditation group is not the same. These are different and focused in different areas of accreditation. 

Accrediting Commission International is an international accrediting commission which holds as its primary objective the encouragement and maintenance of sound scholarship and the highest academic achievement in the areas of private education. Quality education is always the goal. Its purpose is the preparation of quality education in private schools, colleges, and theological seminaries. It is a non-governmental body and makes no claim to be connected with the government. U.S. Department of Education schools do not receive credits from this school.

No absolute guarantee is given that credits received from Good News Seminary Inc. will be transferable to a government school.

The job market is highly competitive. Training is specialized in most fields. A graduate in one field may have difficulty in being hired in a field they are not certified for.
